Music Education Committee

This committee is responsible for involving the chapter in public music education programs, and keeping members informed of local, state and national trends in that area.

I. Overall Duties

A. Present at least one report or program annually at a chapter meeting
B. Contribute as much information as possible to the chapter newsletter, by the first of each month
C. Work with chapter and V.P. Program on In-School program to ensure effective presentation and location
D. Alert chapter immediately when action is necessary such as phoning or writing officials, etc.
E. Notify chapter of major music education events
F. Coordinate chapter involvement with FAME Festival

II. Materials

A. Names and addresses of music education organizations
B. Names and addresses of local, state and national officials involved in music education

Calendar

July-August

help in planning chapter activities
schedule annual program or report
provide V.P. Program with dates for FAME and other educational events for yearbook

March-April

Coordinate chapter involvement with FAME Festival

May (usually)

Work with chapter and V.P. Program on In-school program
